Overview

The Hampta Pass Trek, originating from Hampta Village, rises to 14,107 feet in the Himalayan Pir Panjal range, connecting Kullu (Manali) to Lahaul. Trek through lush forests, quaint villages, and rich flora and fauna, then witness the barren landscapes of Lahaul-Spiti. Once an ancient trade route, it’s now used by shepherds, offering a unique blend of nature, culture, and adventure.

Tour Plan

DAY 1 Manali → Jobra → Chika Camp

Morning:

Pickup from Manali at 09:30 AM.

Drive 22 km to Jobra by taxi through scenic Kullu Valley.

Afternoon:

Start trek 3 km to Chika Camp (3,078 m) – approx. 1–2 hours.

Enjoy your first Himalayan trekking experience amid lush forests and streams.

Evening:

Check-in at Chika campsite.

Bonfire, music, and group games to bond with fellow trekkers.

Night:

Dinner at camp.

Sleep under the stars.

DAY 2 Chika Camp → Balu Ka Ghera

Morning:

Breakfast at Chika Camp.

Trek 8 km (4–5 hours) through meadows, rivers, and snow patches.

Afternoon:

Reach Balu Ka Ghera (3,783 m) campsite.

Free time for photography, exploration, and relaxation.

Evening:

Campfire, music, group dance, and stargazing.

Night:

Dinner at camp.

Overnight stay at Balu Ka Ghera.

DAY 3 Balu Ka Ghera → Hampta Pass → Shea Goru

Morning:

Early breakfast.

Trek 12 km (6–7 hours), ascending to Hampta Pass (4,310 m) – the highest point of the trek.

Afternoon:

Enjoy panoramic snow-covered Himalayan views from the pass.

Descend to Shea Goru Camp (3,735 m).

Evening:

Campfire, music, dancing, and storytelling.

Capture amazing sunset photos.

Night:

Dinner at campsite and overnight stay.

DAY 4 Shea Goru → Chhatru → Drive to Chandratal & Back

Morning:

Trek 5 km (3–4 hours) to Chhatru Camp.

Afternoon:

Drive 140 km to Manali via Atal Tunnel (4,114 m).

EVENING:

Reach Manali

Trip concludes with memories of snow valleys, Himalayan panoramas, and camping adventures.
